True to its name meaning 'thick sand', Pachia Ammos features an unusually wide beach with deep, soft golden sand. It's one of the few beaches on Tinos where you can really spread out, even in August, and enjoy genuine breathing room.
Unspoiled Natural Beauty
Pachia Ammos remains relatively undeveloped compared to the south coast beaches. There's a rustic canteen and a few sunbeds, but the beach largely retains its wild, natural character — exactly what many travelers come to Tinos seeking.
Crystal Waters
The water here is remarkably clear, with a sandy bottom that extends far out, creating that stunning turquoise gradient the Cyclades are famous for. Snorkeling along the rocky edges reveals small fish, sea urchins, and colorful marine life.
Southeast Coast Gem
Situated on the quieter southeast coast, Pachia Ammos is an easy drive from Chora but feels worlds away. Combine it with a visit to nearby villages like Steni or Falatados for a full day exploring the authentic, less-touristed side of Tinos.
