As the name suggests ('Dyo Choria' means 'Two Villages'), this settlement was originally two separate communities that merged over time. Built amphitheatrically on Mt Kechrovouni's slopes, it offers sweeping views of southern Tinos and the Aegean.
Medieval Arches & Arcades
What sets Dyo Choria apart is the medieval character of its alleyways. Venetian arches and covered arcades give the village a unique atmosphere found nowhere else in Tinos — a living reminder of the island's centuries-old crossroads of cultures.
The Oregano Festival
Every August, the village hosts the beloved Oregano Festival — a celebration with live music, traditional food, and the intoxicating aroma of freshly picked oregano. It's one of Tinos' most charming local gatherings.
Nearby Secluded Beaches
A short drive from Dyo Choria leads to the unspoiled beaches of Lichnaftia and Pachia Ammos — places where turquoise water meets fine sand and pebbles, with no crowds and no noise. Just the Aegean at its purest.
