Ktikados – Villages of Tinos

Ktikados is a small, photogenic village nestled on the slopes of Mount Xombourgo — the fortress mountain that has watched over Tinos since antiquity. From here, the views of the surrounding countryside are sweeping and serene.

The village is home to the revered Church of Panagia Trioditis, an important pilgrimage stop that draws visitors during the August 15th celebrations. The churchyard offers one of the most peaceful spots on the island.

Few villages on Tinos feel as untouched as Ktikados. Traditional stone houses, whitewashed walls, and vine-covered courtyards create a scene that has barely changed in centuries. The handful of permanent residents keep the traditions alive with quiet pride.

Thanks to its elevated position on Xombourgo's western face, Ktikados catches spectacular late-afternoon light. The sunset paints the stone walls gold and amber — a moment of pure magic that rivals any village in the Cyclades.
