    ⛰️

    Perched on the Mountainside

Koumaros clings to a steep mountainside about 10km from Hora, its stone houses stacked dramatically above a deep ravine. The village feels almost suspended in air, with views that drop straight to the valley below.

    🏗️

    Masterful Stonework

The traditional architecture of Koumaros is remarkable. Built entirely from local stone, the village showcases the Tinian mastery of stonework — arched doorways, carved details, and walls that have withstood centuries of Aegean weather.

    Dovecotes Nearby

The area around Koumaros is rich with traditional Tinian dovecotes — the ornate pigeon houses that are unique to the island. Walking between them offers one of the most photogenic experiences in the Cyclades.

    Dramatic Views

The elevated position of Koumaros provides some of the most dramatic panoramas on the island. On clear days, the views extend over the patchwork of villages, terraces, and coastline that make up Tinos' extraordinary landscape.
