    Amphitheatrical Splendor

Isternia cascades down the western slopes of Tinos, its stone houses tiered like seats in an ancient theater facing the open Aegean. From the village's high points, the views are limitless — all the way to the horizon where sea meets sky.

    Sculptors' Homeland

Together with Pyrgos, Isternia was the epicenter of Tinos' marble-sculpting tradition. Generations of renowned artists were raised here, and the Isternia Artists Museum preserves their work. The craft's DNA lives on in every carved doorframe and ornate church façade.

    Village Cafés with a View

The cafés and bars of Isternia offer what money can't buy: an endless Aegean panorama paired with strong Greek coffee or local wine. The courtyard of Agia Paraskevi church is one of the most photographed spots in all of Tinos — for good reason.

    The Bay Below

The winding road down from Isternia leads to a stunning coastal bay with a pebble beach, fresh seafood tavernas, and water so clear you can see every stone on the seabed. It's the perfect reward after exploring the hillside village above.
