    Tinos Festivals Guide

Panigiri (village festivals) are an integral part of Tinian culture. Each village celebrates its patron saint with live music, traditional dances, local wine and authentic delicacies. These celebrations offer a unique opportunity to experience genuine Cycladic hospitality.

The biggest celebration is the Dormition of the Virgin (August 15th), when thousands of pilgrims arrive in Tinos for the procession of the icon of Megalochari. Other major celebrations include the Annunciation (March 25th) and Easter ceremonies.
