How to Get to Tinos: Ferries, Routes & Travel Tips

Getting to Tinos is easier than ever before. Here is everything you need to plan your journey to this beautiful Cycladic island.
From Rafina Port: The most popular option for reaching Tinos. High-speed ferries from Blue Star and Seajets complete the crossing in 2 to 3 hours. Tickets cost between 25 and 45 euros. There are 3 to 5 daily departures during summer.
From Piraeus Port: Conventional ferries take 4 to 5 hours but cost less, around 20 to 35 euros. This is the ideal route if you want to bring your car along for island exploration.
From Mykonos: Just 30 minutes by high-speed ferry. Many visitors combine both islands for a diverse experience. It works perfectly as a day trip, or you can use one island as a base for day excursions to the other.
By Air: Tinos does not have its own airport, but you can fly into Mykonos or Syros and take a short ferry connection. Mykonos is the most convenient option with numerous international flights.
On the Island: We strongly recommend renting a car since bus services do not cover all the villages and beaches, especially the hidden ones. TinosStay can arrange for a car to be waiting for you at the port upon arrival.
Booking Tips: Reserve ferry tickets at least one week in advance during July and August. Routes fill up quickly, especially around the August 15th celebrations for the Virgin Mary.
