Agios Fokas – Beaches of Tinos

Agios Fokas is the closest beach to Tinos Town, making it the go-to spot for locals after work and visitors who want a quick swim without leaving the capital. Just a pleasant 15-minute walk east of the port along the coastal road.

Beyond swimming, Agios Fokas offers volleyball courts, beach tennis, and occasionally water sports rentals during peak season. The long, flat stretch of sand is also popular with joggers in the early morning hours.

Several well-regarded tavernas line the road to Agios Fokas, offering fresh fish and traditional Tinian cuisine with sea views. Many locals consider these some of the best seafood spots on the island — less touristy, more authentic.

The beach takes its name from the small whitewashed chapel of Agios Fokas perched on a rocky outcrop. The chapel dates back centuries and offers panoramic views of the Aegean. It's a beautiful spot for photos, especially at sunrise.
